Columbus Ohio Family Photographer: Let me start by saying this—if you’ve been part of this journey with me, whether we’ve worked together once or many times, I’m so incredibly grateful for you. Truly. Every time a family chooses me to tell their story, I don’t take it lightly. It’s an honor and a joy.
So today, I want to talk to you honestly and transparently about something that might feel a little uncomfortable at first: I’ve raised my prices. And I want to share why.
Over the years, I’ve poured my heart into this work—not just the photos, but the full experience: dreaming up your session, guiding you through every detail, styling help, thoughtful communication, hand-editing your images, designing keepsakes, and creating space where your family can just be together. The work is far more than just the hour or two we spend behind the lens—it’s a full, handcrafted process built to give you something meaningful and lasting.
Here are a few reasons for the price increase:

Each session includes hours of planning, editing, and communication before and after we ever step foot into your shoot. As my workflow has deepened and become more refined, the time invested in every session has grown, too. - Investing in Quality
From the gear I use to the professional labs I partner with, everything is chosen to ensure your images are the highest quality possible. I also invest in continued education and mentoring to grow as both an artist and a business owner—because you deserve the best of me. - Sustainable Business Practices
Running a small business comes with a lot of behind-the-scenes costs: insurance, software, taxes, equipment upkeep, and more. Raising prices isn’t about making huge profits—it’s about staying in business. About making this work sustainable long term so I can continue to show up for your family and give you the experience you’ve come to expect from me. - Giving You the Best Experience
This is the heart of it all. I want to give each and every client a truly personal, intentional experience. One that leaves you feeling cared for, seen, and at ease. Raising my prices allows me to serve fewer clients at a time and give each one the attention they deserve.
At the end of the day, what it really comes down to is this:
I want to continue doing this work I love, and doing it well—for you.
And to do that, I have to run a business that is healthy, sustainable, and true to the value of what’s being created together.
